IMD Alert! Heavy rain warning in 20 states till August 27, red-orange alert issued, know your state details

 

 

The Meteorological Department has issued a red orange alert of heavy rain in 20 states today. Including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, UP will also continue to receive rain.

 

 

The effect of cyclonic system, including monsoon, has started showing again across the country. In many parts, the rain has created a flood situation. Heavy rain has been forecast in many areas. Andaman and Nicobar Islands are likely to experience widespread moderate to light rain with some isolated heavy rain, thunder and lightning till August 22. On August 22 and 23, 2022, there is a good chance of scattered rain, moderate to light rain, thunder and lightning over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
